Patients can book appointments directly with us for a wide range of gastrointestinal services in existing private facilities that are clean, comfortable and convenient. The services range in price from those of standard private practice to more affordable streamlined services set around NHS tariff prices. The services include consultations to address specific problems or concerns; diagnostic testing for gastrointestinal infections, food allergies; screening for bowel cancer, dyspepsia, acid reflux and liver problems. A key and attractive feature of our services is that our Consultants are all Senior Consultants in the NHS and make all the important decisions relating to diagnosis and treatment.

We offer our range of services in three categories Platinum, Gold and Silver. All services deliver top-class medical care delivered by NHS Consultants and their staff in clean and comfortable surroundings at the North London Nuffield Hospital, each service is tailored to address varying demands for service and price.

   • Platinum Healthcare is equivalent to the f current private provision in service and price.      Our Consultants carry out all consultations and procedures.
   • Gold Healthcare offers high quality private healthcare at a lower than typical cost     (approximately 75% of standard insured prices) which we achieve by innovative methods      of information gathering and analysis which enable providing shorter consultation times.      Our Specialist Nurses and Physicians’ Assistants deliver some aspects of care.
   • Silver Healthcare offers the even value for money with prompt, effective delivery of care      planned by our Consultants and delivered by a combination of Consultants, Specialist      Nurses and Physicians’ Assistants. Rates are approximately 50% those of standard      self-pay prices.

We carefully monitor the delivery of care at all stages and we use continual feedback from our patients, staff and primary care practitioners to improve and tailor our services to the needs of our patients and healthcare partners.

Services to Primary Care

Our services to primary care include the provision of specific training for GPs and Nurse Practitioners together with a telephone, email and fax advisory service to promote excellence in care for gastrointestinal disease and to help maintain care in the primary care arena without the need for a Specialist referral.

We started our educational programme with a successful conference at the Royal Society of Medicine in March 2007 on “Gastroenterology in Primary Care – Reducing the Need for Specialist Referral”, the report on which is available here.

Referrals from Primary Care

We offer a wide range of services for patients referred by GPs. We are shortly to start a 9 to 6 weekday mobile telephone advice service for General Practitioners and will accept referrals for direct access endoscopy and other diagnostic tests as well as radiological investigations.
